10 Ways To Improve Your Day

Your attitude and the way your body feels each morning when
waking will directly affect the kind of day you encounter.
Sometimes, just doing a personally productive task for a short
period will change the attitude necessary to face the new day.
In otherwards, whether or not you will have  a great day!

Here are 10 ways to help yourself have a great day
  1. Just say, "Good morning" to anyone and smile
  2. The sun is shining
  3.  Have some great coffee or ??
  4.  Talk to your loving pet
  5.   Review your blessings
  6.   Help someone
  7.   Take a short break concentratingon  an activity which you enjoy
  8.   Someone smiles at you
  9.   Someone does you a favor
  10.   Receive some money

When you arise in the morning, try saying "Good morning" to ??? and smile.  Could be your spouse, pet, neighbor or call a relative or a friend.  This has worked well for me and generally provides the start of a great day.

It is a fact that a lack of sun is a contributing factor to depression.  If you have heard someone say, "I have the winter blahs", they are really telling you that they are depressed.  It's not always easy to recognize this condition--it creeps up on you.   When I was a child, sometimes I would feel really sorry for myself and actually cry, only to discover
sometime later when I had a great day, the world really wasn't so bad.

If you start out the day with your favorite coffee or other favorite drink, it relieves
the pressure that you will face during the day.  You can take a deep breath to relax the body
as you enjoy your stipend (drink).

Give your pet some attention.  Pets are so loyal and always willing to extend their loving gestures..ie..purr, whimper, etc.  They are highly recommended for the elderly, giving them
companionship and purpose in life, but pets are wonderful for anyone.

Blessings are the perks we receive in life, good job, great family, funny incidents, talents and the list goes on.  You have undoubtably heard the old proverb, "Count Your Blessings",
well it does have some substance.

A real picker upper is doing a favor for someone else.  Whether it is charitable, neighborly or for a friend or a relative.  You are not focusing on self but someone else and it creates feelings of being helpful and giving.

A break can be beneficial in many ways in creating a great day.  One of my favorites is to walk outside, when the weather permits, and marvel at how beautiful the flowers are.  Just checking the growth of the trees I have planted gives me a feeling of accomplishment which is definately positive.  Another example is if you have repaired something in your home, marvel at your repair job.

When someone smiles at you, it is a form of recognition, electrifies the bubble around you
and gives you a lift.  We all need some recognition.  A smile from another person directly affects your
daily attitude.  It contributes to making your day a great day.

Have you noticed that when someone does you a favor, you feel so appreciated, you almost feel like you have earned it.  By earned it, I mean you have probably done a favor for that very person and now it  is being reciprocated.  Favors accomplish another end as well.  They strengthen a relationship,

Collect some money owed to you.  Ask the debtor if they could give you a portion of the debt.
Incoming money has a tendancy to give a lift and. although falsely. also gives you a sense of wealth.

To sum up all of the above, the way you treat yourself gives you the feelings of self worth and you can improve your feelings by attempting a few simple tasks.
